Our Environment
Broadleaf is responding to the growing demand for green building products by providing our clients with recycled and other environmentally responsible choices wherever possible. Green building products that don't sacrifice performance or aesthetics are important to our clients – and to us. Some of our products that boast environmentally friendly features include the following.
MoistureShield® Composite Decking is manufactured from recovered wood fiber and recycled polyethylene plastic. It is created with a minimum of 90 percent recycled content and is strong enough to endure the harshest weather conditions. Made with a patented, totally encapsulated composite material, MoistureShield is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
Synergy Pacific's Quattro Timbers are sourced from third party certified sustainably harvested forests and utilize material that would traditionally be turned into chips. Manufacturing facility burns own wood waste to run kilns and product is hollow resulting in less material and lighter product for transportation. The product produces little or no job-site waste and can yield LEED credits.
DOW Styrofoam improves a building's energy efficiency, is committed to reducing manufacturing impact and also qualifies for LEED credits.
IKO Enerfoil uses non-ozone depleting gas technology and provides emissions recovery during manufacturing. It is also EnergyStar rated and healthier than fiberglass insulations.
IKO Roofing offers organic shingles, which are primarily composed of cellulose fibers derived from selected recycled paper or converted wood chips. Organic shingles have decades of proven performance and absorb roof stress better and are more tear-resistant than glass shingles.
CraneBoard is a foam backed siding with R4 rating, and has both manufacturing and shipping advantages. Pre-consumer waste is utilized and waste is recycable.
Miracle LumberLock G Adhesive meets LEED Green Building rating system and is GREENGUARD Children and School Certified.
