Broadleaf is responding to the growing demand for green building products by providing our clients with recycled and other environmentally responsible choices wherever possible. Green building products that don't sacrifice performance or aesthetics are important to our clients – and to us. Three of our most popular products also boast environmentally friendly features.

MoistureShield® Composite Decking is manufactured from recovered wood fiber and recycled polyethylene plastic. It is created with a minimum of 90 percent recycled content and is strong enough to endure the harshest weather conditions. Made with a patented, totally encapsulated composite material, MoistureShield is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Owens Corning Fiberglas™ Insulation has been certified by the GreenGuard Environmental Institute to meet stringent indoor air quality standards, and was the first insulation manufacturer to qualify for the new GreenGuard Product Emission Standard for Children and Schools. In addition to contributing to healthier, energy-efficient environments, Owens Corning insulation contain high percentages of recycled content. Pink Fiberglas insulation produced in Canada has 60 percent recycled content, primarily consisting of glass bottles and waste glass from the industrial process. Extruded polystyrene rigid foam insulation contains 15 percent recycled material, and the manufacturing process itself recycles 100 percent of its own waste - no foam waste is taken to the landfill.

IKO Roofing offers organic shingles, which are primarily composed of cellulose fibers derived from selected recycled paper or converted wood chips. Organic shingles have decades of proven performance and absorb roof stress better and are more tear-resistant than glass shingles.
