When Broadleaf introduced Finex Fibre Cement Panels at the WRLA’s Prairie Showcase earlier this year, the reaction was tremendous. Dealers immediately saw the benefits of this unique, high quality composite material. Durable, weather resistant and dimensionally stable, Finex Panels are perfect for the harsh Prairie climate.
They can be fastened to conventional wood framing on 16” centers to create an economical alternative to poured cement patios or for balconies and raised decks. It can also be used on interior ceilings, walls or floors as well as in heat screen applications. Finex Fibre Cement Panels are also great for agricultural applications and can easily be cut with a masonry or carbide saw blade. Finex panels can be formed into tiles or strips to fit any space.
This versatility has inspired several Manitoba building material dealers and their contractors to get creative and devise some very interesting alternative uses for the product ranging from counter tops to child resistant wainscoting in rec-rooms.
While Finex offers a full line of finishing products including sealers, anti-slip paints and patching compounds, industrious applicators in this region are experimenting with wood stains, acid washes, etching and other processes and as a result have opened up a whole new set of opportunities.
The uniqueness of this product has already generated a lot of interest at both the consumer and contractor level and is sure to be a long-term high profit earner for our network of building material dealers.
