SPF's high fiber strength, light weight, and easy workability make it an excellent choice for house construction, trusses, and home projects. Our SPF is kiln dried to ensure it is straight and dimensionally stable. For consistent, reliable lumber choose from our full range of SPF lumber and studs. SPF is available nationwide in all standard sizes.
MSR Lumber
Machine stress-rated and machine-evaluated lumber is ideal for applications where strength is critical such as truss rafters, laminating stock, I-beams, and web joints. Fir – Dimensional and Commercial Timbers
Douglas Fir is a straight grained, resilient timber universally recognized for its superior strength-to-weight ratio. It has one of the highest ratings of any western softwood for extreme fiber stress in bending tension parallel-to-grain; horizontal sheer; compression perpendicular-to-grain; and compression parallel-to-grain. Available in dimensional and commercial timbers.
PWF Lumber and Plywood
A permanent wood foundation (PWF) is a better way to build a basement. PWF is a strong, durable, and contemporary building foundation built of preservative-treated plywood and lumber. PWFs are suitable for light frame construction including single-family detached houses, townhouses, low-rise apartments, and institutional and commercial buildings. Advantages of PWFs include energy saving, year-round comfort, easier to finish, quickly built in any weather, and adaptable to any style of exterior finish. Available in 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4".
ACQ Treated – Decking Timbers and Boards
ACQ-treated decking, timbers, and boards provide long-term protection from rot, decay, and termites without the use of any listed hazardous chemicals. ACQ is an environmentally advanced copper and quat preservative that is arsenic- and chromium-free. ACQ treated lumber is ideal for outdoor building projects where protecting against the elements is important. ACQ is strong and durable and weathers to a warm brown colour. It can also be painted, stained or left to weather naturally. We carry ACQ 2" X 4" to 2" X 16" decking in lengths up to 16'; ACQ timbers in 4" X 4" to 4" X 6" up to 14'; and ACQ S4S boards in 1" X 6" up to 6' in length.
CA Treated – Decking Timbers and Boards
Copper azole (CA) treated lumber effectively resists damage from termites and fungal decay, in both above-ground and in-ground residential applications, where protection against wood-destroying organisms is important. It’s ideal for outdoor building projects such as decks, patios, fencing, picnic tables, landscape timbers, docks and walkways. We carry lumber from 2" x 4" to 2" x 16"; timbers from 4" x 4" to 8" x 8"; and S4S boards in 1" x 4" & 1" x 6"; all up to 16' in length. CA treated wood can be painted or stained, or left to weather naturally. It’s recommended to apply a water-repellent to protect against the damages moisture can cause. The wood colour is honey brown and over time will fade naturally to grey.
